Wintry Week...

Man, it's been so long! This week has been exceedingly... white. On Monday, we had a two hour delay at school due to the amount of snow we received (that rarely happens!), and it continues to snow as we speak. Today I dressed coincidentally matching the weather. And no, it wasn't planned. (; Enjoy the snow!

Hourglass..

Believe it or not, this whole outfit began around a swimming suit. And not just any, but the very one I'm wearing in these pictures. My mom found this for me on Ebay and it's a brown and white Cole of California Original vintage suit. So I paired it up with some real clothes and wore it all day. Not one person could tell that I was wearing an actual swimming suit. It made for quite the outfit...for I was also another five inches taller!

School Colors!

So I had to talk to the middle schooler's today about Freshman Orientation, so I decided to wear my school colors- red, white, and black. Of course, most people assume school colors or "school spirit" to be t-shirts and sweats with the school logo on it, but I added some of my personal touches to make it what I imagine school spirit should be...

Spirit Day.. Pink!

So this week is Homegoing at my school ( or "Homgoing" as some of the posters in the bathroom read) and today was class color day. My class color is obviously pink and instead of falling into the tye dyed t-shirt fad that most popular teens do, I created my own look here.

1950's Closet Find..

So I had a history presentation today and wanted to dress up. Looking in my vast array of choices in my closet, I happened upon this little outfit. My mom got it for me in an antique shop in Colorado (The Brass Armadillo), and it's a 1950's navy blue dress and jacket with rhinestone buttons. I totally forgot that I even had it! So I paired it with some rhinestone jewels and flats, and away I went.

Windy Day...

So I woke up this morning due to the raging sound of the wind outside. To keep warm, I decided to wear some boots and a long-sleeved sweater, plus something to cover my legs. (: I also added some feminine and girly touches (the flower pin and necklaces) as well to mix it up. So like the wind, my outfit was a bit on the tough side, but with some soft spots thrown in there...

Moondance...

Today at singing lessons, I was introduced to the familiar and comforting song "Moondance." Of course, the first time that I had heard it was Michael Buble's version, but sung from a girl is quite different. Today's outfit fit perfectly with the theme, for my sparkly beret gave the song a very Parisian feel...

Intake Day at Curtain Call...

So today was "Intake Day" at Curtain Call Consignment. Being one of the best days of the month (first dibs on everything!), it's also one of the busiest. But if it involves cute clothes (or in this case, cute shoes), it doesn't really matter. Happy Shopping!

Twinkle Toes..

I was first struck by these a couple months ago. I got a J. Crew magazine in the mail, and after flipping through each luxurious page, I fell in love with these immediately. Sadly, they were a little out of my price range! But I waited it out and soon enough, I found them on sale. I even made the deadline with minutes to spare. That's what I call "meant to be."
